BibiGPT is one of the earliest AI video & audio assistants to cover both Chinese and international platforms. We believe everyone should be able to trade compute for cognition — compress an hour of lecture into five minutes of takeaways, turn meeting recordings into searchable knowledge, and repurpose any audiovisual content into something you can publish.

What we do

BibiGPT (originally BiliGPT, also known as AI 课代表) lets users paste a video / audio URL or upload a local file (mp3, mp4, m4a, wav, srt, vtt, ass) and get a structured, time-stamped summary, full transcript, mind map, and an AI chat surface over the content — all within seconds. We cover 30+ platforms: Bilibili, YouTube, TikTok, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, X / Twitter, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Xiaoyuzhou, TED, Coursera, Khan Academy, plus arbitrary web pages with audio or video tags.

Advanced features include subtitle translation and burn-in, visual content analysis (slides / whiteboards / charts), one-click article rewriting (video → WeChat article / RED post / X thread / PPT outline), Notion and Obsidian sync, and an agent-native surface comprising an MCP server, OpenAPI REST API, NLWeb /ask endpoint, and an Anthropic Skill installable via npx skills add JimmyLv/bibigpt-skill.

JimmyLv (吕立青) — Founder. Career: ex-ThoughtWorks engineer → ex-Alibaba engineer → independent SaaS founder. Also a content creator with 100k+ followers across Bilibili and YouTube.

Project history:

  • 2023: Started as open-source BiliGPT, community-driven iteration
  • 2024: Evolved into the SaaS product bibigpt.co
  • 2025: Expanded to browser extension, desktop, mobile clients
  • 2026: Released agent / MCP / Skill integration; expanded to international market via aitodo.co

Our principles

  1. Data privacy first: uploaded files auto-deleted after 30 days; summaries default to private; no unauthorized training-data use
  2. Broadest platform coverage: special focus on Chinese platforms (Bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Douyin) that Western tools can't parse
  3. End-to-end loop: from knowledge acquisition to knowledge creation
  4. Agent-friendly from day one: BibiGPT is designed to be called by LLMs as a tool, not a REST API bolted on as an afterthought
